On this Saturday, October 16th, 2021, our weekly scientific seminar of the HPC Lab Students will be held. This seminar will help students how to find and exploit good academic research papers for their future study and research, proudly presented by talented HPC Lab members.
After this seminar, students will be able to apply this knowledge to collect necessary research materials in their thesis and further research in the HPC Lab.
I. Speaker and Content:
1. Session 1: Guide to find and read academic research papers
Abstract:
Students and even skilled researchers spend a great deal of time reading research papers. However, this skill is rarely taught, leading to wasted effort. This session introduces practical and efficient methods for searching and reading research papers.
2. Session 2: Write technical/academic reports and use Mendeley Reference Manager
Abstract:
Writing technical/academic reports requires lots of effort. Mendeley Reference Manager is a free web and desktop reference management application for researchers. It helps you simplify your reference management workflow so you can focus on achieving your goals such as writing your thesis or technical reports. After attending this seminar, you will be able to: Store, organize, and search all your references from just one library; Seamlessly insert references and bibliographies into your Word documents using Mendeley.
II. Event Information and Registration:
The language of this seminar is Vietnamese. Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19, the seminar will still be held online on the Google Meets platform. Registered participants will receive an email with an invitation to the online meeting.
