Missions and Goals

Missions:

  • - Research groups that are involved in the field of high-performance computing. (Serving the development of science and technology)
  • - Research groups that are not related to high-performance computing but have a need to run parallel applications on powerful computers. (Serving the development of science and technology)
  • - Enterprises that need to use the HPC Lab services. (Serving economic development)
  • - Universities/research institutes that teach subjects on high-performance computing can use HPC Lab to help students/graduate students practice on mainframe systems. (Serving training needs)

Goals:

  • - Serving high-performance computing research in the field of computers.
  • - Serving scientific calculations in related studies.
  • - Serving training (Research laboratory for graduate students and doctoral students; University of Technology - VNU-HCM)

Visions:

HPC Lab is focusing on the following main research directions:
  • - Development of numerical computation/simulation methods that make efficient use of CPU-GPU/MIC hybrid architecture.
  • - Development of support tools on CPU-GPU/MIC hybrid architecture.
